Position Summary

Fosters the total advancement of CAP; interprets and promotes CAP within an assigned territory through the full range of development activities, designed to increase the awareness of the mission of CAP and to increase the awareness of the benefits of gift planning/major gift strategies to the CAP constituency; obtains the maximum number of Planned and Major Gifts possible through funding sources of bequests, life income, stock, major current gifts, funding campaigns, foundation and corporate gifts and churches.

 

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public   Relations, Marketing, Education, Social Work, or

related field, and/or documented professional training in Development and Planned Giving.

 

Experience Requirements

2-4 years of successful not‑for-profit, Development, Planned Giving, public relations, marketing, and/or

 business experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Physical Requirements

Physically able to reach, push, pull, bend, stoop, stand, walk, and lift up to 20 pounds; have good visual acuity with corrective lenses and good hearing capabilities. Possess a valid Kentucky driver's license and maintain a safe driving record.

 

Working Conditions

Normal office environment, with moderate noise level due to office equipment; and travel on various types of

primary and secondary roads.
